Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa wins Best Ecotourism
 
2 Major awards for Daintree Eco Lodge and Spa in 2008
Adding to the plethora of National and International Awards including World’s Leading Eco Lodge (World Travel Awards) and Best Spa on the Continent (World Spa Awards) the HM Awards for Excellence 2008 bestowed the coveted Ecotourism Award in recognition of this outstanding Australian Lodge.
The awards were announced at the Crystal Palace, Luna Park Sydney last night, Thursday 14th August 2008. A record number of over 260 nominations from Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific were received in 39 categories with 6 north Queensland properties in the finals. Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa was nominated in 2 categories, Unique Accommodation and Ecotourism. The only other winner form north Queensland was Angsana Resort and Spa, Palm Cove, winning Hotel Day Spa category.
Tim Webster, Host of the Gala night, said, “Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa in winning this award again is living proof that it is the best of the best in ecotourism in Australia”.
The Lodge is offering a special Celebration Package for bookings from now until end of November 2008 including interpretive rainforest walk, bottle of bubbly and authentic handcrafted Aboriginal gift.
